Seal Bay Cottages & Cafe is conveniently located in the middle of the Kangaroo Island tourist route on the South Coast Road, opposite the turn-off to the world famous Seal Bay Conservation Park. Come visit us and our history; our quaint and historical cottage was Kangaroo Island's first Post Office, built in 1878 however it has now been converted to the cafes kitchen. Seal Bay Cottages offers a wholesome menu with lots of the dishes made in house, have you tried our crumpets yet?! We use local Kangaroo Island ingredients where possible and take great pleasure in making a great cup of coffee On warm days, guests can enjoy a peaceful outdoor eating experience, overlooking a rolling green lawn, and 35 acres of farmlands, native gums, and sometimes even a koala or two. In winter, the inside of the cafe is cosy with a warm fire and hot chocolates. Stay for a few minutes or a few hours and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, delicious food, historic setting, barista style coffee & pots of tea.
